The van works out of Bulwell, so most of the city is twenty minutes away. Lockouts, lost keys and spares, done where the car is standing rather than at a garage.
Your registration gets you a figure, not a call-out charge.

Nottingham is the one place on the patch where the address changes the job as much as the vehicle does. Tell us where the car is and we will tell you whether it can be done there.
Multi-storey car parks are the common one. The Victoria Centre, the Broadmarsh side and the hospital decks all have height barriers a long-wheelbase van cannot get under. We can still do the job — we carry kit in on foot — but it needs knowing in advance so we bring the right case rather than the whole van.
Permit streets through the Arboretum, Forest Fields and Sneinton need about two metres of clear space beside the wheel we are working at, and a bay we can legally stand in. Say which street when you ring and we will pick a slot outside the school run.
Student areas are worth a mention too. Lenton and Dunkirk get a surge of lost keys every September and June, and those weeks book up. If you are in halls or a shared house, the earlier you ring the better the slot.
What changes across the city is access and parking, never the price. This is what we have learned about working in each part of it.
Multi-storeys with height barriers and loading restrictions. Usually done on foot with the kit carried in, so tell us the deck and level.
Terraced streets and permit bays. We need two metres beside the car, and an off-peak slot works best.
A mix of driveways and street parking. Steep streets in places, so the handbrake matters more than usual.
Mostly off-street parking and easy access. Ten minutes from the unit, so often a same-day slot.
Where the unit is. If you would rather drop the vehicle in than have us come out, this is the address.
Student territory. September and June are the busiest weeks of our year for lost keys, so ring early.
Driveways almost throughout and wide roads. Some of the most straightforward work in the city.
Shares a run with the university campuses. Tram works occasionally change the route, not the price.
Mostly asked by somebody standing next to a car they cannot get into, on a street they are not sure we can park on.
Call 0115 960 4128Yes. Most city decks have a height barrier the van will not clear, so we park nearby and carry the kit in. It takes a few minutes longer and costs the same.
Tell us the car park and the level when you ring. That is the difference between us walking straight to you and wandering round four floors.
Twenty minutes from Bulwell on a normal day, longer if the ring road is bad. We will give you a realistic time on the phone rather than an optimistic one.
Only with the owner’s authority. We check the V5C and photo ID before anything is opened, and if the registered keeper is a parent we will need to speak to them.
It is not us being awkward. Anyone who does not ask is the reason cars get taken.
No. The whole of Nottingham is one rate, and so is everywhere else on the patch. Where you are changes how quickly we arrive, not the figure.
Until nine, seven days, at the same rate as the middle of a Tuesday. We keep late slots free deliberately, because that is when most people find out they have lost a key.
Nottingham is the busiest part of the patch, but the van runs out across the county every week and the price is the same wherever you are.
Open now · until 21:00 tonight
Ring and say where the car is and what has happened. Two questions settles whether it is a lockout or a key job, and you get the figure before anyone gets in a van.
