Why they look like this

Taken at the car
On a phone, at the roadside or in a car park, usually while the programmer was working. No staging and no borrowed vehicles.
Plates covered
Cropped or blurred before anything is published, every time, whether or not the car could be identified another way.
Owners asked first
Even with the plate gone. A car on someone’s driveway still says where they live, and some people would rather it did not.

The on-site figure is from the job sheet, from the van door opening to the car starting. Not the best case, the actual one.
