Keys locked inside
The car is shut and the keys are visible, or in the boot.
You do not need to know what the job is called. You only need to know what happened — and the board below turns that into the right service and the right price.
Find the line that sounds like you. Each one goes straight to the job it is, with what it costs and how long it takes.
If
The car is shut and the keys are visible, or in the boot.
If
Lost, stolen, or dropped somewhere you cannot get back to.
If
It still works, but it is the only one you have.
If
Dash lights come on, the engine will not fire, or the key is not recognised.
If
Half the key is in your hand and half is in the door or ignition.
If
Vans, pool cars or stock that cannot sit off the road waiting for keys.
Every one of these happens at the car unless the model genuinely needs to be at the unit, and you hear which before you book.

A car that turns over and will not start is often the immobiliser or the receiver in the barrel, not the key. That is a cheaper fix.
Having a second key made while one still works is a fraction of the price of a replacement once every key is gone.
Any key not present when we program a new one is wiped from the car. That is the security, but it catches people out.
If none of the six quite matches what has happened, ring and describe it. Two questions usually sorts it.
Call 0115 960 4128If you can see the key inside the car, or know exactly where it is, it is a lockout. If you do not know where any key is, it is a replacement. The difference in price is significant, so it is worth a moment to check pockets and bags first.
Almost all of it. A handful of premium keyless systems need the car at the unit, and your registration tells us if yours is one before we set off.
We repair door and ignition locks where a key has snapped in them or a barrel has failed. We do not supply replacement locks for accident damage; that is a body shop job.
Because the key type and the security system decide the work, far more than the make does. The registration tells us both, so the price you get is the price you pay.
Every service runs across the whole patch at the same price. Your postcode decides how quickly we arrive, not what you pay.
